The Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help support organization offering friendship, understanding, and hope to families grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause. There is no religious affiliation. There are no membership fees or dues, and all bereaved family members are welcome.
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.
Our meetings are held the first Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and is open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a child, sibling or grandchild. We have a community of members who support each other during these times of loss, and they are welcome to join us at any time, no matter when the loss occurred. If you are interested in attending call 609-516-8047 or send an email to info@tcfmercer.org
When you walk into a Compassionate Friends meeting no one cares what you do, how famous you are, what neighborhood you live in, where you went to school, or any of the things that seem to define people in today's society. All are welcome because we are all the same and carrying the same pain born out of tragedy. If you've thought about attending a TCF meeting, we hope that when the time is right you will. For this is a long difficult road on which we travel . . . |
