For New Families  

We ask that families who are attending a meeting for the first time to contact us in advance, if possible. This will help us to facilitate your first meeting. You may contact us at 609-498-4698 or via email at tcfmercer2019@gmail.com.

We also request that you complete a New Member Form.  You may download and print it by clicking on the link.  After printing it, please complete the form by hand.  You can bring the completed form to a meeting or scan/photograph it and email to tcfmercer2019@gmail.com.

Compassionate Friends National Resources:

National Conferences

Each year, the National Compassionate Friends organization hosts a multi-day conference in a different city around the country. These conferences are excellent sources of information and reinforce the connection shared by bereaved families across the country. The conference typcially draws over 1,000 attendees and features several keynote addresses and dozens of workshops. The 46th annual Conference is scheduled to be held on July 7-9, 2023 in Denver, CO. It will feature keynote speakers, dozens of workshops and much more. Additional Support

Worldwide Candle Lighting – The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who left too soon. As candles are lit at 7:00 p.m. local time, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor the memory of all children gone too soon.  The Candle Lighting is held the second Sunday of every December. A number of Compassionate Friends Chapters hold local ceremonies.  Also, families are invited to post a message in the on-line Remembrance Book which will be available during the event, at TCF’s national website.

NJ Self-Help Group Clearinghouse – Contacts for 6,750 various self-help group meetings throughout New Jersey. They cover a broad range of subjects including most illnesses, addictions, bereavement situations, disabilities, abuse victims, parenting problems, family issues, and many more.
